Yesterday I purposely did not make or drink any ketone shakes to see if my body would stay in ketosis without them. The answer is yes. Here is my test strip last night at midnight. It doesn’t show a large amount of ketones but it does show at least a moderate level.
My entire diet yesterday consisted of: coffee with heavy cream, water, the fat off of a steak along with a few bites of steak, about six pieces of tuna sashimi, a small amount of steamed broccoli and a handful of green beans sauteed in butter. I love green beans!
You can read about my diet the day before yesterday here. Bathroom scale madness. Altogether, I went about 45 hours without eating regular food. I was not hungry during that time. For me, fasting gets easier after I get past day one.
Even though I did not consume the ketone shakes yesterday, consuming them the day before surely helped me get through the first 24 hours. They give me energy. I use the caffeine free shakes. You can order shake samples here.
I am happy to announce that I went to the gym after dinner last night! I did 15 minutes on the Precor elliptical on it’s lowest level and 30 minutes on the Life Fitness elliptical at level 3. The Precor elliptical I used gives a tougher workout than the Life Fitness elliptical. Until I get stronger, I like the Life Fitness elliptical better.
I did my morning weigh in on the different scales I am testing along with my current scale. I want to test them one more day. After tomorrow, I will prepare my report. A few of them are body fat scales. According to Consumer Reports, they are not accurate for body fat measurements. Here is a link to the article. Consumer Reports Body Fat Scale Review
Without further ado, here are my morning weigh in pictures. I hope you are having a great day!
